Jacob P. Lilya

Jacob “Jake” Paul Lilya, 47, of Virginia, died on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, at Essentia Health in Virginia. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31 at Lakeview Cemetery in Tower, followed by a gathering of family and friends from 1 to 4 p.m. at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Tower. Arrangements are with Landmark Funeral Home in Virginia.
Jake was born on March 3, 1979, in Minneapolis, and was a graduate of Tower-Soudan High School. He was employed as a maintenance man.
Jake is survived by his mother, Nancy Lilya of Soudan; and cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Lilya.
