If, as President Trump claims, prices are going down or at least not going up and tariffs don’t contribute to higher prices, why is he eliminating tariffs on tropical fruits, beef and coffee? Turns out even he knows that tariffs are a tax on us all in the form of higher prices. Does he really think that I will change my mind about his historic lawlessness and being unfit for any public office just because my addiction to coffee and burgers might cost a little less? I’m not fooled. Are you?
P.S. This is not even close to the most important thing to be concerned about right now. For one, and I hope I’m wrong, watch for him to become an even more brazen war criminal by attacking more than defenseless small boats very soon. He says he is so inclined. A Congress with any common sense and moral backbone would be standing against this possibility with meaningful legislation right now. They should also be prepared to do something even more meaningful if it happens. I have a few suggestions if they are short on ideas. These include impeachment and the International Criminal Court. That would make history and save our democracy.
