Shirley M. Lundgren

Shirley Mae Olson Lundgren, 91, of Babbitt, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, at Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital. A memorial service was held on Thursday, Nov. 5 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Babbitt. Arrangements were with Landmark Funeral Home in Virginia.
She is survived by her children, Carol Merritt, Renee (Mike) DeZeeuw, Sue (Ron) White, Kevin (Rainee) Merritt, James Merritt and Lois (Jon) Flug; grandchildren, Sheila (Brad) Lewitzke, Kraig (Shannon) Karasti, Rikki (Scott) Miller, Willy Merritt, David Merritt, Jimmy Merritt, Marshall (Michele) Huice, Casie Merritt, Michael (Lana Mattonen) Flug, Joshua (Mary Stucynski) Flug and Janis (Brady) Bahneman; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Pat) Olson; sister, Karen (Tom) Koivisto; sister-in-law, Doreen Lundgren; and brother-in-law, Forrie (Karen) Lundgren.
