REGIONAL- The Ely Timberwolves and North Woods Grizzlies took care of business against lower seeds on Tuesday and advanced to the next round of play in the Section 7A volleyball tournament.
The No. 1-seeded Wolves, the top team in the section, 
Ely eliminated Littlefork-Big Falls 3-0 and will host a  Friday quarterfinals match against fourth-seed Chisholm  at 6 p.m.
No. 3 North Woods fought off a testy Mt. Iron-Buhl squad 3-1 at home.  The Grizzlies will be on the road Friday for their 6 p.m. quarterfinal match against Bigfork. The teams split their two regular season matches.
Meanwhile, it was the end of the road for the Northeast Range Nighthawks, who lost to Chisholm 3-0.
