So here we are again in Minneapolis. Two weeks and three days later, another U.S. citizen has been shot and killed in the street by a federal ICE agent.
In the state of Minnesota, we have the right to conceal and carry. However, when a group of federal immigration agents happen to see your gun — even if it isn’t brandished — they apparently believe they have the power to shoot you multiple times and kill you in the street without a full, transparent investigation in Trump’s America. This regime believes that it can tell us what we see and expect that we will all follow their directives.
In this moment, where are the citizens who are strong proponents of gun rights? These people should be shouting from the rooftops about the fact that Alex Jeffrey Pretti lost his life while legally carrying and while trying to help a woman who had been shoved to the ground.
Now is the time for all gun-rights advocates to stand up and fight, because this same thing could happen to you. Where are all our “Right to Bear Arms” advocates who fight relentlessly for Americans to have the right to carry any type of gun — even following massacres in our schools, churches, concerts, grocery stores, and shopping malls across our country?
Alex Jeffrey Pretti was alive one moment, holding his phone and documenting ICE agents, and the next trying to help a woman who was shoved down. He was then tear-gassed and forced to the ground by multiple agents, and in an instant, 10 to 12 shots were fired into a man who appeared to be defenseless on the ground. Say his name: Alex Jeffrey Pretti.
Where are those who fight for our right to bear arms? Or is that constitutional right only afforded to individuals who agree with the current regime?
