Minnesotans have been showing the country and the world that we will not put up with an invasion of federally hired thugs to harass and murder our residents. It is way past time to recognize, regardless of how you voted (or if you didn’t), that putting Minnesota under siege is not legal, just, nor due to any reasonable cause.
And what does our congressman have to say about it? In his latest newsletter, he takes the opportunity to play politics, blame the governor and other elected Democrats for “fanning the flames” when they are actually standing up for our state and he is not.
He comments how upset the children must have been when protestors disrupted a church service. He doesn’t mention Renee Nicole Good’s name, nor her children, who will live their lives without their mother.
In a statement that would be hilarious if it were not so horrendously ignorant, he said, “Make no mistake: the right to protest does not give anyone the right to infringe on the rights of others.” He said the invasion of the church “crossed a line both morally and legally” while at the same time masked, unidentified, armed men, bribed into service with $50,000 hiring bonuses have been unleashed on Minnesota, inadequately trained and allowed and encouraged to act like thugs. They have been terrorizing, shooting, and murdering innocent Minneapolis residents with Stauber’s full support, and he says nothing. He voted for the bill that provides $75 billion to ICE, while funds are being cut that are essential to keeping our hospital, nursing care facilities, and more operating and our insurance premiums affordable. Yet he has voted to give ICE even MORE money. Is this really how you want your money spent? Do you really want your tax dollars to be paying for blood running in the streets?
Stauber said, “Working together, we can rid our streets of the most violent and dangerous criminals who are in our country illegally and keep Minnesotans safe.” He’s repeating Trump’s lies about the threat level of immigrants, while his words actually do describe the violent and dangerous federal agents.
It will only take 16 House Republicans to change the course of this dangerous path the Trump administration has been pursuing. Stand up for Minnesota and America by contacting Pete Stauber and telling him to stand up for us.
