This June, massive flooding devastated Cook. FEMA officials came to help people access relief. I met some of them, living far from home, compassionate, and here to help. Yet Pete Stauber voted against funding such disaster relief. Then he went on a six-week taxpayer-funded vacation from work as Hurricane Helene devastated the southeastern United States and, as of the time of this writing, Hurricane Milton is poised to devastate Florida. Does this man have no decency? Not showing up for work when there is a disaster is the true sign someone needs to be fired, and it’s Pete Stauber. I am voting for Jen Schultz.
