REGIONAL- In-person early voting options will be available beginning Friday, Oct. 16, for the Nov. 3 general election, with sites in Cook, Ely, Virginia, Nett Lake, and Babbitt.
The Virginia Government Services Center, 201 S. Third Ave. W., will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is available to St. Louis County voters.

The Bois Forte Tribal Government Building’s Eagle Room, 5344 Lakeshore Drive in Nett Lake, will be open for one day only, Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 1-7 p.m.
Babbitt’s site will use the “envelope method,” meaning voters may drop off an absentee ballot there or vote in person using absentee-ballot envelopes. There is no tabulation machine at that location.
Voters who are not already registered may register and vote at these locations if they bring appropriate proof of residence and identification, according to St. Louis County elections supervisor Phil Chapman.
Absentee voting ends Monday, Nov. 2. Voters may drop off absentee ballots at absentee-voting locations until 5 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, but ballots cannot be dropped off at regular polling places that day.
Mailed absentee ballots must arrive by 8 p.m. on Nov. 3 to be counted. Chapman urged voters not to wait until the last minute if they are returning a ballot by mail.
