REGIONAL— High winds across the region over the past 24 hours have knocked out power to more than 2,300 Lake Country Power customers as of Tuesday afternoon. According to the rural cooperative, calls of outages were coming in at the rate of more than 150 an hour. As of 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, none of the outages had been repaired. Winds were gusting as high as 40 miles per hour across the region on Tuesday, prompting numerous downed trees and blowing snow.
