Union members should think twice about supporting Trump

Posted

Are the labor and trades unions on the Range thinking about the future?  Supporting Trump and his trickle-down economics is not helpful to union goals and objectives.  Please consider the following points and think union objectives in the long run.
One: Different studies have shown that about 84 percent of Trump’s tax cuts went to the top 10 percent wealthiest taxpayers and corporations.
Two: Trump has appointed three strong “right to work” justices to the U.S. Supreme Court and now the court has six “right to work” justices.
Three: The NLRB is now strongly supporting anti-union positions.
Four: Recent rulings by the supreme court make unions liable for loss of company profits during a labor action or strike.
Five: Trump’s appointed judges and justices are ruling against the unions in organizing workplaces.
Six: Trump supported the firing of all workers who were on strike against Elon Musk.
Seven: Trump does not want workers to earn overtime.  The list could go on but all union members should consider the possibility that they are cutting their own throats in the long run. Trump speaks at nonunion plants and hires fake employees to be his cheerleaders.  Union people better think hard before casting their vote.
