Darcie Jo Fadden Molitor, RN, 61, of the Ash River Trail, passed away in Duluth on Thursday, June 7, 2018, after battling cancer for many months. Celebrations of Life will be held at later dates at Ash Trail Lodge on the Ash River Trail and in Wayzata, hosted by Dick and Sandra Brown.

Darcie was born on Feb. 5, 1957, in Minneapolis. She graduated from Wayzata High School.ÊDarcie lived in the Wayzata and Plymouth area for many years prior to moving to The Bear Den on the Ash River. She attended Excelsior College and Hennepin County Technical College for her Nursing Degrees and Rasmussen College for Accounting.

Darcie loved to fish in Voyageurs National Park and was able to navigate that large body of water without a map or GPS.Ê She also loved to hunt and garden and did well at both.

She loved working at Park Nicollet Clinic in the Plymouth area and the Good Samaritan Society in International Falls. Darcie would often talk about all the great friends she made at both. She was a kind and gentle person and leaves behind many dear friends from her high school days and her time spent on the Ash River. She will be truly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Amy Schmitz and husband Chad Schmitz and children Evelyn and Ethan Schmitz of St. Michael; parents, Joan and Larrie Fadden of the Ash River Trail; brother, Paul Fadden and wife Gennifer Fadden and their daughter (beloved niece) Gabrielle of St. Louis Park; aunt, Sandra Brown and husband Richard Brown of Wayzata; uncle, Wayne Fadden and wife Elizabeth Fadden of Plymouth; uncle, Jack Fadden and wife Sandra Fadden of Buffalo; aunt, Twyla Weiland of Plymouth; many cousins, numerous friends and caring co-workers.

Darcie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Cliff and Eleanor Fadden, Al and Olene Weiland Japs, and Edward Weiland; and uncle, Dean Edward Weiland.

Karen Jean White Conlee, 63, of Virginia, went to be with her beloved Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Friday, June 1, 2018, at St. Michael’s in Virginia. The family would like to thank Essentia St. Mary’s Hospice Team and the staff at St. Michael’s for their exceptional care and compassion. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 16 at Grace and Truth Bible Church in Aurora with Pastor Dan Miller officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Landmark Funeral Home of Virginia is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her sons, Matthew (Mindy) Tuchel of Soudan, Joshua (Tanya Miller) Tuchel of Virginia and Cody Conlee of Eveleth; grandchildren, Miigwen, Morgan, Tiquin, Julia, Evelynn, Isaac and Jackson; sister, Kathryn Noland of Toluca, Ill.; very special niece, Amy (Clarence) and their children Finn and Hannah of Virginia; very special nephews, David (Lindsay) and their children Kennedy and Kaitlyn of Normal, Ill., and Rob of Bloomington, Ill.; and many friends.
