The North Woods boys basketball team toppled Mountain Iron-Buhl 70-55 in Friday's Section 7A championship game in Duluth.
The Grizzlies led 30-25 at halftime, then poured it on in the second half, using an unstoppable combination of inside dominance by George Bibeau with excellent perimeter shooting, especially from Brendan Parson and Cade Goggleye.
The Grizzlies advance on to the Class A state tournament, with the quarterfinals at a time to be determined on Thursday at the University of Minnesota's Williams Arena in Minneapolis.
