TWO HARBORS— The Grizzlies had little trouble Monday night as the easily outpaced host Two Harbors for a 90-53 win. Junior Darius Goggleye led all scorers with 22 points, while freshman Jared Chiabotti added 18 points. Cousin Brendan Chiabotti pitched in with 15 points, while Trevor Morrison added 13 and Levi Byram added ten.
In action on Saturday in Esko, North Woods senior Trevor Morrison had one of the biggest days of his basketball career as he poured in 47 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as he helped the Grizzlies edge Red Lake 94-91.
Morrison, who recently surpassed his 1,000th point, had help from Brendan Chiabotti, who scored 16 points along with nine assists. Jared Chiabotti added 15 to keep the Grizzlies in the high-scoring contest, while Levi Byram and Alex Hartway each added five points.
The Grizzlies travel to Fond du Lac next Tuesday before returning home on Thursday to host Cass Lake.
