Hilligoss dies in motorcycle crash

REGIONAL— Prominent Iron Range auto dealer Donald Hilligoss Jr., 60, of Cohasset, died Tuesday in a motorcycle crash at the intersection of Hwy. 37 and County Rd. 7.
Hilligoss was westbound on Hwy. 37 on his 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when an Eveleth teen pulled out in front of him.
Emergency responders airlifted Hilligoss to St. Luke’s in Duluth, but he could not be revived. Hilligoss was the owner of several auto dealerships on the Iron Range, including Mike Motors in Ely, Ranger GM of Hibbing, Ford of Hibbing, and Grand Rapids GM.
