Grizzlies return to state championship

TARGET CENTER—The North Woods Grizzlies will play for the state Class A boys basketball championship for the third straight year after downing Ada-Borup 57-55 on a buzzer-beating three-pointer by Grizzlies standout Cade Goggleye.

The Grizzlies, who had led virtually the entire game, watched their lead fade in the final minutes of play here on Friday afternoon. With just over three seconds to go, down by one point, the Grizzlies in-bounded to Goggleye who sunk the trey as time ran out.

North Woods will face Henning tomorrow morning at 11 a.m.
