North Woods splits, Ely falls to Marshall
North Woods rebounded from pool play defeats to Cromwell and Hill City to topple Cherry and Littlefork at Saturday's Virginia tournament.
Ely fell 25-13, 25-9, 25-13 at Duluth Marshall on Tuesday.
Susan Cook had 27 digs and Kallberg finished with 21.
Nighthawks earn sweep over Chisholm
Nearly everything clicked as Northeast Range swept visiting Chisholm 25-11, 25-15, 25-19 on Monday.
“This was a very goal-oriented match,” head coach Jodi Reichensperger said. “We didn't just go out and play, we set a goal for ourselves and the team did everything that they could do to achieve that. This was by far the best communication that I have seen from this team.”
Maree Poppenhagen had 36 assists, with Hannah Reichensperger and Sophie Lenz each recording 11 kills.
Northeast Range also split four matches at Saturday’s Virginia tournament, defeating Cherry and Bigfork.
