DULUTH - With four of the top nine finishers, the Ely girls cruised to another team title at Friday’s Duluth East Invite.

Erin Bianco and Ryne Prigge swept the top spots, with Bianco winning in a time of 12:15.1 and Prigge second in 12:47.6.

Caroline Homer earned fifth place in 13:02.9 and Laura Pasmick finished ninth in 13:27.0.

Following for the Wolves were Emma Terwilliger (13:38.6), Evelyn Bercher (13:52.3), Brooke Pasmick (14:08.3), Lindy Dalberg (14:11.0), Kalyssa Eilrich (14:14.0), Anna Nelson (14:43.8), Taryn Osthoff (15:20.5), Ana Bercher (15:22.7), Lucy Stouffer (15:23.7), Cate DeRemee (15:35.4) and Maarja Faltesek (16:23.6).

The Ely boys finished in third place, led by the trio of Simon Stouffer, Ben Gustafson and James Schwinghamer.

Stouffer finished in fourth place overall in 11:23.6, with Gustafson close behind in eighth place in 11:37.6 and Schwinghamer in 13th in 11:49.0.

Following for Ely were Ethan Hasz (12:04.7), Elijah Olson (12:17.0), Raif Olson (12:20.7), Jasper Johnston (12:58.7), Nate Nettifee (13:01.6), Henry Dirks (13:04.8), Ethan Bremner (13:18.6), Chase Eilrich (13:21.0), Jeremiah Kari (13:26.7) and Solly Olson (15:07.1).

The Wolves compete in the Section 7 meet on Thursday at Giants Ridge in Biwabik.
