Christina Hujanen opens Remax office in Tower

Tower area Realtor Christina Hujanen has opened the Remax Northern Properties office in Tower. She is now co-owner of the business. Hujanen is on her way to earning her broker’s license. The office is located across from the Post Office, in the same space she previously leased when she was operating Culbert Realty’s Tower office.

Remax offers a national real estate presence. Hujanen has transfered her previous listings to Remax, and she is in the process of putting out new signs for all her current properties. She has residential, commercial and undeveloped land available.

“For a lot of people out of our area,” she said, “Remax is a place they will look at first, because it is nationally-known.”

Hujanen had been running the Tower office for Culbert Realty for the last four years.

“Last year I was the top-selling realtor for all the Culbert offices,” she said. “I really was able to grow the office in Tower.”

Hujanen is very active in the community. She spearheaded the creation of the Tower-Soudan Range-Wide Seniors group, which holds monthly bingo and dancing events which are attended by hundreds of area seniors each month. She also organizes bus trips to plays and other attractions. She is active in both the Tower-Soudan/Lake Vermilion and Laurentian Chambers, as well as the Rotary and Soroptimists Clubs. She organizes Tower’s Riverfest, now working on its third year, and is working on a new fishing contest slated for Feb. 14 at McKinley Park. She is active in many school groups, including the Tower-Soudan Athletic Association, and is helping lead the fundraising efforts for the high school students’ trip to Washington, D.C. this spring.

Christina lives with her husband, Bobby, and their four sons in Vermilion Lake Township.
