The second-place prize is a Vexilar FL-20 while the third-place prize is $100.

This year will mark the seventh year for the annual tournament, which attracted 52 anglers last year and a near-record catch.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the Orr American Legion for the tourney, which runs from noon to 3 p.m. The entry fee is $25 per hole per adult and $12 per hole per child or kids age 12 or younger.

Anglers must fish in the designated area where ice holes will be drilled in a row approximately five feet apart. For a complete listing of the rules, see the Orr Area Chamber of Commerce website at

An all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast will be served at the American Legion from 7 to 11 a.m. prior to the tournament and there will be food concessions and a cash bar at the Legion following the tourney. An awards ceremony and drawings for prizes will be held following the tournament at the Legion.

The day’s activities end with a fireworks display on the Orr Bay at dusk, followed by karaoke at the Orr Muni with Jackie at 9 p.m.
