Ninth Place for Farmers Market

The Cook Area Farmers Market has completed competition in the national “Favorite Farmers Market Contest”, finishing in ninth place in the boutique category and third in Minnesota of all sizes of markets. This nationwide contest is sponsored by American Farmland Trust, a national organization that works to ensure the preservation of our nation’s farmland. “Finishing in the top ten of this nationwide contest, among many hundreds of other markets, and many in large population areas, is definitely an honor to our market and especially to all who took the time to vote for us,” commented Missy Roach, Cook Area Farmers Market president. “Our market has grown these past few years in not only customers but market vendors; we have a very nice variety,” Missy further commented.
