Scores from the match were 25-16 in game one, 25-23 in game two and 25-20 in game one.
“Ely played hard,” said Northeast Range Head Coach Jim Mackai. “Everything we hit, they dug up. They took a lot of our game away throughout the night.”
Stat leaders for the Nighthawks included Katie Lenci with 10 kills and 10 digs, Brielle Wills with eight kills and 23 digs and Signe Scholl with three kills, 31 set assists and six digs.
The Nighthawks have just two matches remaining before what’s shaping up to be a very competitive section playoffs.
“We need to step up our defense and move a little better on the floor,” said Coach Mackai. “There are a lot of good teams in our subsection and it’s going to be extremely competitive.”
Northeast Range is 15-6 on the year. They will finish the regular season with matches against Cherry on Oct. 14 and Marshall on Oct. 15.
