New Timberjay e-edition available
By Jodi Summit

The Timberjay debuted our new e-edition this week on our website. The new e-edition is free to all paid newspaper subscribers. Readers who do not receive a paper subscription can purchase a web-only subscription, which will grant them full access to the new e-edition and to our entire website. Cost for a web-only subscription is $3.95 per month or $23.95 for a full year.

The e-edition is compatible with all computer browsers, as well as tablets like the ipad, as well as smartphones. Unlike the previous e-edition, the new edition contains all the pages from all three Timberjay editions, so subscribers to one edition can also read the local news from the other editions.

Timberjay subscribers must create a user account on the website to access the new e-edition. Instructions on how to access the new e-edition are available by clicking on the green e-edition box on our home page, or by going to http://timberjay.com/eedition/.

Subscribers to the old version of the e-edition have been automatically upgraded to the new e-edition for the remainder of their subscription.

Snowbirds who have had their subscription put on hold for the winter will need to contact us at the Tower office if they wish to reinstate their subscription so they can read the paper online.

The e-edition will provide a much more timely option for our out-of-town readers, and for those who travel during the winter months.

The Timberjay will still be posting major stories on the website so they are open for comments from our readers. We will also be posting sports updates, but will not post obituaries and other local notices on the website, since they can now be easily viewed in the e-edition.

The e-edition also offers a search function, which will automatically bring you to the item you are looking for, and highlights the term you have searched for. As additional issues are posted online, readers will also have the option of searching through back issues.

If any readers have any questions about the new e-edition, or are having trouble accessing the website, please call us at 218-753-2950 or email editor@timberjay.com. Please note that we can only reply during regular business hours.

Other than the typo in your headline above, I loved the new stuff. Thanks. (And, yes ... I have had many a typo in my history, so shrug it off.)
