The nationally-syndicated Dr. Oz show will be fielding live embarrassing medical questions in Embarrass on Saturday, Aug. 14 at Timber Hall.
A film crew will be set up at Timber Hall to take questions from 9 a.m. – 12 noon. Everyone is welcome to stop by and get the chance to ask an embarrassing medical question. Several questions will then be selected and answered by Dr. Oz on the actual television show.
The Embarrass Fair’s Queen Pancake Breakfast will be going on at Timber Hall during this time, and show producers are hoping for a good turnout. The pancake breakfast runs from 7 a.m. – 11 a.m. and everyone attending is also invited to vote for their favorite Miss Embarrass candidate. Three girls are in the running this year: Elizabeth Jankowski, Missy Bjork and Sarah DeClusin. All proceeds from the pancake breakfast go towards Miss Embarrass events. Cost is $5 for adults and $2 for children 10 and under.
Staff from his show were looking for a unique location to field questions for Dr. Oz, known to many from his many appearances on “Oprah” and his best-selling series of books, “You: The Owner’s Manual.” The idea of getting people from a town called Embarrass to ask embarrassing medical questions seemed too good to pass up, according to the staffers who are organizing the visit.
Dr. Oz will not be travelling to Embarrass. Questions will be taped, and then selected questions will be answered as part of a show that will be filmed in New York City. The show will air on television sometime in September, and video archives will also be available online at www.doctoroz.com.
Anyone with questions can contact the show at bharris@zoco.com.
