First and this is important. If you cant take care of your animals FIND SOMEONE WHO CAN. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. Second, yes, the slaughter houses have closed, but you can put an ad in the paper saying FREE HORSE cant you?? and the MN hooved animal rescue will help owners that can no longer care for their animals. there are many people who WOULD HAVE HELPED if we would have known this was happening. Third- someone should have brought these animals food and water. they didnt need to die, they didnt have to suffer. I would have done it if only i had known about it. is it really that hard to bring them a hay bale and haul some water? really? come on ppl. the owner obviously wouldnt have brought them to a slaughter house if she wouldnt even have brought them hay.

And last but certainly not least. Bring the girls who tried to help up on trespassing charges?? Those sheriffs should lose their badges. NOW. AND TAKE AWAY THEIR FOOD AND WATER. I would like to see them go without food and water for ONE DAY. This could have been prevented.
