The above article is correct. Probably rough around the edges by getting beat up for over 5 years. Last week front page write up on Timber J news was correct also. Last year my neighbor asked for permission to remove the century old pilings and do rip rap work and got written permission from the city and DNR. Myself and my other neighbor have DNR approval to remove what is left of the the wall without a permit. I am told the City does not have authority below high water mark. That's a DNR call. Been that way since the beginning of time. But once again I took the high road and tried to work things out. You see where it got me. Its been 5 years getting approval for the new rv park. Ended up with only 32 rv sites but good part there is a ton of green from all to enjoy. I can live without removing what is left of the wall but I loose 8 slips. Which means 8 of the new RV'ers will not get a boat slip. Sooner or later you have to draw a line in the sand. Look at last weeks Timber J for picture of wall and more info. Good news is park is being built. It is being setup like a condo or co-op project. Half the lots are already spoken for already at reasonable price. Starting at $30,000 with nice wooded lot with freinds and family discount packages available. Right now early bird deals get a boat slip. After that who knows.Check us out at towerrvresort.com or Lake Vermillion Chamber site. Thanks Dave and Dar Rose.
