I had read that about Pete when he was playing hockey. He finally emailed me back explaining his reason for signing on to this lawsuit.
"Confidence in our elections is a vital part of our republic and the American people deserve to know that every legitimate vote was counted. The amicus brief that my colleagues and I signed brought a lawsuit to the Supreme Court's attention which raises concerns about the integrity of the election. The amicus brief asked the Supreme Court to examine the concerns laid out in the case and make a ruling.
This is in no way an attempt to overturn the results of the election. By asking the courts to examine the results, my colleagues and I utilized the legal recourses at our disposal to bring our concerns before the courts. This was done openly and publicly within the bounds of the judicial system because our goal is transparency and integrity, not to subvert results or disenfranchise legitimate votes. We raised our concerns, the court did not side with us, the matter is closed, and I accept the ruling.
On January 20, 2021, I will be in attendance for President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration".
