Wolf delisting should not be synonymous with a wolf “season”. There is absolutely nothing wrong with folks being able to protect what is their’s in terms of livestock and pets. The first wolf season was horrendous with over 400 wolves taken, not including those removed for livestock depredation, and the SSS boys and girls, or somewhere between 800 and a thousand wolves. If there is anyplace within the state that may present a likely spot for hunting wolves, it would be a very controlled hunt along the diagonal the splits the state, running from SE to NW along the farmland forest interphase. Anywhere else is just killing wolves to kill wolves, and is a giant step toward getting them re-listed.
