There are two sides to every story. I haven't experienced any of those horror stories with Frontier (knock on wood). To the contrary i find the internet connection to be fine and fast and when there is a problem the service is quick and good. When fiber optic was installed nearby, I called to upgrade and, surprisingly was talked out of it as the Frontier sales rep said given what i do i don't need it and she was correct (maybe that explains its financial woes!!!). How often does that happen? In this day and age the price ($29.99/mo.) is a bargain. but, i have it bundled with DISH and that's an entirely different story - way too long, expensive and sad to recite here. BTW: a good option for temporary internet outages is to get a hot spot on your mobile phone - that gets expensive to use full time but is great in a pinch and between the phone and hotspot one should be able to get someone in the event of an emergency.
