Shoe; I would never support lowering standards. In fact, I am strongly in support of holding the Managers and Mine Operators liable for sneaky avoidance and by-passing permit regulations. That would include holding their heirs, such as their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren financially liable if their ancestors create ecological damage as a result of subverting permit regs. That means the kids would have to live a life of poverty forever. With that provision, mine managers would think twice about cheating the system because they think they can.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I would never approve this project as long as there are former U.S. Steel Managers on the staff at PolyMet. They were crooked at Minntac and they will repeat the errors of their ways at PolyMet because they got by with it at Minntac.
