LaPierre was correct in his call for armed security in schools, especially in areas loaded with lunatics roaming the streets and lunatics like Nancy that think magazines and clips kill people, ignoring the mental health of the killer and possible effects of violent video games and movies on the motivation. Why does not Nancy address those causes of violent behavior? Because her head is in the sand. I would be willing to bet if we had someone sit down with her (probably force her to do it, since I sense she would be unwilling to do so voluntarily) and show her the video games and clips of movies featuring rampant killings by people using guns, she would block out the visions and still be in denial.

We will never solve the problem of violent killing unless we tackle the source...and it is not the guns. I own a few guns, my friends own more or less than me, and they have never killed anybody. I want to be left alone, the government or Nancy have no business knowing how many guns I own, where I acquired them, where I keep them and whether I pass them on to friends or family, either by sale or by gift. I own no violent video games, I do not watch violent movies (in fact I despise both), and my rights and those of law abiding citizens should not have to be by those weak minded individuals who have an urge to go kill someone or the Nancies of the world who just don't like guns (there is no law that states she must own one or many). Thankfully, none of the current blabber by anti-gunners will result in any changes that infringe the second amendment.

I would be more hopeful killings will stop when that skinny runt of a President Obama stands up to his billionaire donors in Hollywood and New York City and tell them to stop the rhetoric, pot stirring and producing violent films and video games. Mayor Bloomberg, when approached by a reporter and asked if he had given up his guns and banned his security from carrying guns, refused to answer the question and was abusive and his thugs were physically abusive toward the reporter. Who has the behavior problem here? I'll bet Marshall and Tom Klein wouldn't appreciate being ruffed up by thugs as they go about their business of reporting news (and often opinions).

So Nancy, take a pill and I recommend you visit one of our mental health professionals to talk about your anxieties over the presence of guns in our free society. And the next time you read about a mass killing, write an op-ed critical toward Hollywood and the Bloombergs of our society. That would be more effective, since you are a fine writer, just a little mis-guided on this subject.
