The Orr Bogwalk is one of the region's nicest interpretive trails. A half-mile long boardwalk loop takes visitors through all of the major wetland types in northern Minnesota, including black spruce bog, black ash and tamarack swamp, a cattail marsh and river edge. You can view carnivorous pitcher plants here, and in early July, you can spot the spectacular purple-fringed orchid.
The bogwalk is an outstanding spot for birders, with white pelicans, bald eagles, grebes, warblers, and hermit thrushes among the many dozens of species you could expect to see. Other wildlife, including beavers, mink, hares, and otters are frequently seen, especially along the river edge. The Orr bogwalk really is a must for all nature lovers.

The Orr bogwalk is located directly behind the Orr Visitors Center, on Highway 53, in Orr.
